WFFR Lokaal at Keilepand: Derek vs Derek

In the idyllic English countryside, two neighbors with the same name, but with very different visions for the future, stand diametrically opposed. While dairy farmer Derek Banbury sticks to intensive farming, Derek Gow chooses a radical approach: he is giving his land back to nature. With beavers, wild boars, hundreds of ponds, and other native animal species, his farm is slowly being transformed into a sanctuary for wild animals. Their long-standing feud is as entertaining as it is fierce and shows the tensions between two very different worlds. But as nature reclaims the land, an unexpected transformation takes place, and one of the men rediscovers a long-lost love for nature. This special screening is organized in collaboration with Voedseltuin Rotterdam, who will open the evening with a short introduction about their work, the food garden, and their approach to local food production and nature.
