Vintage Friday
The shopkeepers of one of the nicest streets in Rotterdam are giving the Black Friday trend, which has blown over from America, a completely unique twist. No two-for-the-price-of-one hassle or massive offers of polluting fast fashion here.
While hordes of Rotterdammers head to the big chains for more more more, the small and special entrepreneurs of the street are doing things differently on Friday 27 November with Vintage Friday! And the West = Best Club at Schietbaanstraat 45B is very happy to take part. “We are regularly found on the Binnenweg, not only for beautiful purchases, but also for that truly cool Rotterdam vibe. And how fun to participate in Vintage Friday with a pop-up shop with the West = Best Club! That fits perfectly with the mission of the West = Best Club!” None other than Chris Igesz, curator of the renowned Waluw Vintage and Design Market, knocked on the door with the idea for a vintage pop-up shop during Vintage Friday. That day, he will welcome young entrepreneur Stijn with his Retro voetbalshirts, the pre-loved gems from Elsbeth, and there will be vintage vases and tableware ready to be picked up.
