Theaterfestival Wonderlijk Delfshaven

Festival Wonderlijk Delfshaven offers a varied program that extends over the picturesque quays, monumental buildings and even on the water. The theater tour and the theater dinner are the main programs, but the side program also offers something for everyone. You don't have to be a seasoned theater lover to enjoy it - curiosity is enough!

On Thursday evening 18 September, cabaret artist Noortje van Steenis will kick off the festival with a sparkling performance in the intimate Zakkendragershuisje. With personal songs, sharp limericks and disarming observations – full of self-mockery – Noortje won both the jury and audience prizes of the Utrecht Cabaret Festival.

During the theatre tour, a guide will take you along six surprising locations – from a monumental building to a boat and the mill at the harbour. Each location forms the backdrop for a 15-minute mini-performance written especially for the festival. The tour lasts 2.5 hours and ends in the city brewery De Pelgrim, where visitors can chat with the players while enjoying a drink. Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon.

On Saturday and Sunday evenings, the city brewery De Pelgrim will be transformed into an atmospheric setting for the theatre dinner: a culinary and musical experience including a three-course dinner and live show, provided by Stichting Drijfzand, initiator of the festival.
