About RESIDUE
During this event, artists share video recordings of performances that were created for a live audience. In a cinema setting, all attention is focused on these 'residues'. The images, traces and choices made during documentation are discussed with art historian Barbara Krulik and the artists. The Performance Art documentatie Werkgroep ‘RESIDUE’ started in March 2025. It offered a space dedicated to sharing and discussing approaches to performance documentation. The group currently consists of six core members, in addition to invited guests and participants, who meet monthly physically or online. The project will conclude with a group exhibition in March 2026.
