New Narratives: No Other Land
An evening of cinema, music and conversation on injustice, resilience and solidarity with Palestine.
“No Other Land is a breathtaking cinematic account of an endless cycle of violence and resistance. Without sensationalism, the documentary offers an insider’s view of how villagers in the West Bank are crushed in a hopeless conflict.”* – Volkskrant
No Other Land (2024) tells the story of Basel Adra, a Palestinian activist who, at the risk of his own life, documents the expulsion of his community in Masafer Yatta. Together with Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham, he exposes the devastation caused by Israeli authorities. The documentary, made by a collective of activists, is both an indictment and an act of resistance. In 2025 the film won the Oscar for Best Documentary. The urgency is dire: Awdah Hathaleen, who contributed to the film, was murdered last July by an Israeli settler.
