Evening concert with catchy and swinging Brazilian music

Bossame plays catchy and swinging Brazilian music, based on authentic samba, bossanova and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) from the 50s to the 90s.

Contemporary renditions of songs known by Chico Buarque, Dorival Caymmi, Caetano Veloso, João Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Djavan, João Bosco and Ivan Lins.

Bossame consists of seven Rotterdam musicians, originating from jazz, classical, and pop music backgrounds. All were initially inspired by the rhythmic and melodic versatility and virtuosity of Brazilian music. Most met through EPM Holanda, the Brazilian music school in Rotterdam. The term Música Roffa-Brasileira is therefore fitting for Bossame.
