Baroque sensation Johanna Soller makes all emotions audible in Bach's masterpiece.
Johanna Soller is one of the great rising stars in Baroque music. De Volkskrant praised her charisma and attention to textual expression, the Netherlands Bach Society appointed her artistic director – and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra managed to secure her this year for the St Matthew Passion. Music in which every conceivable emotion can be found, says Soller, 'and I want to make them all audible.'
