Mark Guiliana Beat Music

Whether you are into jazz, beats, indie or electronica: chances are you have already heard Mark Guiliana. As a drummer, he has worked with names like David Bowie, St. Vincent, Brad Mehldau and Meshell Ndegeocello, while with his own projects he has been showing for years how far you can stretch the drum kit. Do not expect a standard jazz show. Guiliana mixes acoustic drums with electronics, improvisation and tight grooves into a sound that is constantly in motion. Technically next level, but always with feel. With his latest solo album MARK, he dives even deeper into his own world. Drums, synths, piano and spontaneous ideas come together in a live set that is as adventurous as it is compelling. On Sunday 1 November, one of the most innovative drummers of this generation will be at BIRD. Don't miss.
