Mandah Trio: “Groove, Tradition & Imagination in Motion”

Mandah Mandouhu is a bassist and composer of Mongolian descent, based in Utrecht. A master of both double bass and electric bass, he combines groove, improvisation and a wide range of influences – from jazz, blues and R&B to rock and pop.

His music is deeply rooted in the rich musical traditions of Inner Mongolia, shaped by the vast landscapes and emotional atmospheres of his native region. Through his compositions and performances, Mandah shares personal stories and inner reflections, aiming to create a direct connection with the audience.

After completing his master's degree at the Utrecht Conservatory in 2024, Mandah now leads the Mandah Trio, where tradition and innovation come together in a fresh, soulful musical journey. The trio is currently working on their first EP with original compositions.
