Lucy Woodward & The Rocketeers

Her music defies categorization. She grew up in New York and the Netherlands in a family of classical musicians and draws from a broad musical vocabulary encompassing opera, salsa, Middle Eastern music, soul, pop, and jazz. She has collaborated with artists such as Snarky Puppy, Charlie Hunter, Tony Visconti, Larry Goldings, and Pink Martini. Additionally, she sang and arranged background vocals for legendary artists like Rod Stewart, Céline Dion, Chaka Khan, Barbra Streisand, and Carole King, and contributed to countless major film soundtracks.

The project is bursting with arrangements centered around Lucy's voice and original songs, where an energetic groove merges with honesty and elegance, with a razor-sharp focus. She recently collaborated with the New Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra for a series of live-recorded concerts in the Netherlands, with arrangements by Louk Boudesteijn and Roozenburg.
