L'Inconnue
After photographer David Zimmerman is dragged along to a wild party by his friends, he wakes up in the body of a mysterious woman. In search of the woman who now has his body, David becomes more and more entangled in her life.
Mystery and identity
When the introverted photographer David Zimmerman meets a mysterious woman at a wild party, he becomes completely fascinated by her. After a night together, he wakes up the next morning in her body. The woman herself has disappeared without a trace. David tries to find his own body again. He discovers that a much larger and darker mystery lies behind the bizarre swap: who was this woman, and who is now in his body?
A surreal thriller
Arthur Harari, known for ‘Anatomy of a Fall’, turns the classic ‘body-swap’ premise into an oppressive, surreal psychological thriller. With Léa Seydoux and Niels Schneider in the lead roles, ‘L'inconnue’ unfolds as a dark puzzle about identity. It also explores the question of how well we actually know ourselves.
