LantarenVenster
LantarenVenster has a rich history since 1949 as a theater for film, dance, theater and music on Gouvernestraat in Rotterdam. In October 2010, LantarenVenster opened its doors on the Wilhelminapier on the Kop van Zuid, in the light and spacious New Orleans building. Since then, the focus has been on film and (jazz) music.
About LantarenVenster
LantarenVenster's film program mainly consists of European and non-Western quality films, usually not shown in regular cinemas. Jazz is central to the music programming, and LantarenVenster is therefore considered the jazz venue of Rotterdam and the region. In addition, attention is paid to pop, world music, blues and singer-songwriters. A visit to a concert or film screening can be combined with a bite to eat in the spacious foyer. This can accommodate up to 350 people and overlooks the Rijnhaven. The menu includes simple, affordable dishes such as salads and burgers. The terrace is open when the weather is nice.
