Josh Ritter solo
Singer-songwriter Josh Ritter returns to his acoustic roots solo. With only his weathered voice, guitar, and piano, the storyteller in him is given free rein.
Singer-songwriter, artist, and writer Josh Ritter has been one of the distinctive voices in Americana and folk for over two decades. His breakthrough came with Hello Starling (2003), the album to which he paid tribute during a sold-out concert at LantarenVenster in 2024.
Last year, his twelfth album, I Believe in You, My Honeydew , was released. On it, the experience of a career spanning over twenty years resonates in a rich and heartfelt sound, with echoes of Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and Bob Weir, whose songs Ritter also performs.
In addition to his work as a musician, Ritter published two very well-received novels: The Great Glorious Goddamn of It All and Bright's Passage . Of the latter, Stephen King wrote in The New York Times that the book “shines with a compressed lyricism reminiscent of Ray Bradbury in his heyday… This is the work of a gifted novelist.”
Tonight, Josh Ritter performs solo and returns to his acoustic roots. With just his voice, guitar, and stories, his talent as a storyteller is given full scope.
