Incendies ^re-release

Canadian thriller drama about a brother and sister who unravel the secret past of their deceased mother in the Middle East. Nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and winner of the audience award at the Filmfestival van Rotterdam 2011. We now also know director Denis Villeneuve from *Enemy* and *Prisoners*. Twins Jeanne and Simon Marwan are stunned when they receive two letters from their deceased mother Nawal at the notary. One letter is addressed to their father, whom they thought was dead, and one is for their brother, of whose existence they knew nothing. They leave for the Middle East to learn more about their family history. Here, they discover the tragic fate of their mother. *Incendies* is an adaptation of the play of the same name, performed in the Netherlands by the Ro Theater as *Branden*.
