Icelatin Album Release Concert

Imagine a traveler wandering through the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland. Past mountains, waterfalls, and lava fields. Along the way, he collects unique elements, scents, and melodies of the land, to then blend them with the fiery rhythms of Latin America. That is exactly what you can expect from the Icelatinband: a tasteful and rich mix of Icelandic folklore and Caribbean grooves!

In the same category as Latin jazz, and shaped by artists and groups such as Irakere, Tómas R. Einarsson, Led Zeppelin, Alain Pérez, and Icelandic folklore, you can find inspiration from Icelandic lullabies and folk songs, Afro-Caribbean grooves, changüí, rumba, salsa, and even rock and funk and the musical world of Icelatin.

In April, Icelatin recorded their debut EP at Studio Konkreet, which they will present in its entirety for the first time at the Batavierhuis, so let yourself be carried away into an evening full of groovy music and enchanting stories from the land of ice and fire, and be the first to hear the music with the chance to get a physical copy before it is available live on streaming platforms!
