Viko and Thor are singing as they hammer away in their workshop. But then a piece of wood lies sideways. The piece of wood doesn't fit. It doesn't belong anywhere.
Such a beautiful and rough and magnificent little piece of wood... surely that can't be right? To the rhythm of sawing, chopping, and planing, and a journey through wood shavings, splinters, and bandages, they search the jungle for where the little piece of wood comes from.
Houtje is about dreaming of wood. About daring to get lost along the way and discovering something new. Houtje is a performance at the intersection of theater, woodworking, and music.
Het Ministerie van Onverrichter Zake is an indestructible small company consisting of Niek van der Horst and Danielle Wagenaar. Het Ministerie creates energetic, humorous performances for everyone aged 2 and up about the things that really matter. Previously, they created: Raketje, Panama, Fatboys, Het hoofd van mijn vader and, together with José Montoya, Het laatste koekje.
Please note: a separate ticket is required for every visitor, including children. Participation is only possible under supervision.
