HOLOBIONT opens a space where people are in constant transition. As soon as you step inside, you are absorbed into the rhythm; the light pulses, bodies wander through one another. You look, you brush past someone, you lose your way for a moment and find yourself again. There are no fixed seats, so let yourself be guided by what happens or snuggle up in a corner. You choose for yourself how deep and long you go.

HOLOBIONT is a subversive playground: a meeting place and anarchist dance floor in one. A collective ritual with dark corners, tangled wigs, and glitter that you will find in strange places later on.

Here everything falls apart—bodies, labels, expectations—and in that chaos something new emerges. A sanctuary where human, body, and identity are free. An invitation to meet the unknown within yourself and the other. And to dance on it together.

Boogaerdt/VanderSchoot (Suzan Boogaerdt and Bianca van der Schoot) and Jef Van Gestel create work at the intersection of theatre, performance, and visual art, in which imagination, association, and intuitive experience converge in an exploration of human fluidity.

The performance lasts 3.5 hours, is in English, and is for ages 16+. In each theater, local performers join the cast of HOLOBIONT , allowing the happening to be reshaped anew each time by the voices and bodies of the city.
