Het verdwenen Meesterwerk Kinderconcert Sinfonia Rotterdam

Your child or grandchild right in the middle of the orchestra? Discover Bizet's lost masterpiece together during an interactive children's concert by Sinfonia Rotterdam, presented by Rachel Rosier.

A children's concert in the middle of the orchestra. What does an orchestra sound like when you are sitting right in the middle of it? During *The Vanished Masterpiece*, children do not have to listen quietly from the audience. They take their seats among the musicians of Sinfonia Rotterdam, discover the instruments up close, and become actively involved in the concert. A special musical experience for children and their (grand)parents. In search of a vanished masterpiece. Together with presenter Rachel Rosier, the children go in search of a remarkable masterpiece by Georges Bizet. He was only 17 years old when he wrote his First Symphony. Yet, the work was never performed during his lifetime and disappeared from view for years. How can such a beautiful composition simply vanish? Rachel takes the children along on this extraordinary journey as they playfully discover the music and the orchestra. Alongside Bizet's sparkling First Symphony, Debussy's enchanting *Clair de Lune* will also be performed. Sinfonia Rotterdam is conducted by chief conductor Conrad van Alphen.
