Gratis zaterdagworkshop #5: Identitea met Seven Alexa Manschot

Not Quite There, but Here With Me is a series of five workshops by Seven Alexa Manschot, inspired by the exhibition You will find us in the best places by Moshekwa Langa. We explore how personal memories and experiences can be transformed into images and objects. Using everyday materials and our own associations as a starting point, we discover what is personally meaningful to us. Workshop #5: During the fifth workshop, we explore how different places, materials, and memories can exist alongside and through each other. Inspired by Langa’s work, participants create a drink that suits their identity. With flavors, scents, and textures, we discover and combine ingredients that are connected to personal memories, cultural backgrounds, and preferences. Participants elaborate on their creation in a pamphlet with the recipe and the personal significance of the ingredients. We conclude by tasting each other's drinks and sharing the stories behind them. Which places, memories, and habits come together in your drink? You don't have to be an artist or know exactly what you want to make. Curiosity is enough!
