Attention Rotterdam students! Come to the Free Furniture Festival: two big giveaway days where you can pick up free second-hand furniture and household items.
Free furniture and items for students
The Free Furniture Festival is an initiative of the Municipality of Rotterdam, De Ontspulknul, and various educational institutions. Students can pick up free second-hand furniture and household goods there: from sofas, tables, and desks to pots, lamps, and tableware. All items are clean, intact, and immediately usable. They have been collected via thrift stores Rataplan and Het Goed, Rotterdam's recycling centers, and various giveaway shops.
Affordable studying and reuse
The festival focuses on (new) students in Rotterdam and has two goals: keeping studying in the city accessible and showing how valuable reuse is.
The Free Furniture Festival is on Friday, August 21, on the Erasmus University Campus, in the Van der Goot Building on Thomas Morelaan.
Extra edition Free Furniture Festival
Following the edition on August 21, an additional edition will take place on Saturday, September 12 at the Citrus Auction at Marconistraat 25 in Rotterdam.
