Farming While Black is a powerful documentary about the legacy of Black farmers in the United States and the new generation reclaiming their land and ancestral knowledge. It features Leah Penniman, co-founder of Soul Fire Farm, who, along with other activists, uses agriculture as a tool for justice and healing. Inspired by pioneers like Karen Washington and Blain Snipstal, their work confronts centuries of racial inequality in agriculture and provides powerful momentum to movements for food sovereignty and sustainability. Come see this film at Tuka Tuka Tuin!
