Want to be a Marine yourself? You can in our renewed adventurous experience Marines on a Mission.

Go on a mission with your team. First, you will receive a short explanation of your assignment, or 'briefing'. Then it is up to you to make the mission a success. You will learn what it means to go on a mission as a marine and what skills you need to have.

WHAT IS A MISSION?

Marines are sea soldiers who operate on the border between land and water. Dutch marines are sent abroad on behalf of our country to help restore peace or to help prevent a conflict. Such a military operation is called 'a mission'. When a marine goes on a mission, it is called 'a deployment'.

TO COLLABORATE

Such a (foreign) mission can sometimes be quite dangerous and can therefore involve risks. And the circumstances can also be different per country. For example, are they going to the warm jungle, or to the icy cold? That also requires very special preparation and training of these marines.

It is also super important that they work well together as a team. Because during all missions, the safety of the marine and his colleagues is of course paramount! Can you and your team work well together and safely complete the mission?

Please note: for the best experience, at Mariniers op Missie, we use the recommended age: 8+. This is because the team members all get their own role for which they need the reading level of an 8-year-old.
