Summer performing arts festival for young and old on the Island of Brienenoord. With communal dinners and urgent, imaginative performances by young makers in the evening sun. Just before the rush begins.
Festival on the island
Alle Tijd is an interdisciplinary performing arts festival on the Island of Brienenoord. For three evenings, the island transforms into a meeting place featuring theatre, dance, music, performance, and installations. In between, you can dine at long tables in the evening sun. The festival invites you to be surprised by young makers and performances that have something to say about the world today.
All Land: on ownership and the right to exist
The 2026 edition is titled *Alle Grond* and explores questions surrounding ownership, rootedness, and the right to exist. Young makers from various disciplines give shape to themes such as housing shortages, agriculture, migration, colonial legacies, and climate. They do so through poetic, sensory, and sometimes activist performances. The festival seeks out the tension between stillness and resistance, and poses the question: who is allowed to live, root, or stay?
