In DJANGAN! you see what happens when a past does not disappear, but continues to work in silence. Four dancers portray a family in which tension is palpable, even without words.
The performance shows how trauma becomes embedded in behaviour, in glances and in movement. What is not spoken still determines everything.
With a mix of urban dance and influences from traditional dance, a powerful and oppressive family portrait is created. The dancers move between holding on and letting go, between protecting and pushing away.
A poignant performance about what generations carry with them and what is needed to make room for change.
