Composer Amba Klapwijk and pianist Carlota Carvalho curate an evening dedicated to solo piano and video works. Music, faces, and sea foam come together in a shared expression of vulnerability, transience, and elusiveness in the screening of That Meets Me (2023), a film made by Amba Klapwijk, Eli Dorsman, and VidAmir.
The program continues with video compositions by Eva Beunk, piano pieces by John Cage and Luciano Berio, as well as the premiere of Teder / Tenderly, a work for piano, e-bows, and sound recording by Amba Klapwijk.
This evening is hosted by Batavier Eva Beunk.
