Burrowing Owls: A Love Story - WFFR Lokaal

The Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam (WFFR) annually screens the most beautiful and impactful films about nature, both domestically and internationally. The special WFFR Local program screens a selection of films at 21 unique locations throughout Rotterdam. In addition, many of our local locations organize additional activities related to the film. This way, we bring nature closer to everyone!

In the shadow of a Cold War military depot, a colony of tiny predators fights for survival. While a young family of ground owls learns to thrive in the wild, a dedicated biologist tries to save them from extinction. But will his scientific work be enough to protect this vulnerable population in a rapidly changing world? Following the film, the Rotta Nature and Bird Watch will give a talk about birds of prey!
