Blanche is an adaptation of the classic A Streetcar Named Desire. The vulnerable but proud Blanche flees her past and moves in with her sister and brother-in-law.
Escape from the past
Blanche Dubois has decided to leave her past behind. She temporarily moves in with her sister Stella and brother-in-law Stanley. She is shocked by her sister's life, which is dominated by her husband. Stanley, in turn, feels threatened by Blanche's arrival. Tensions run high. When Stella is away for a night, a violent sexual confrontation between Blanche and Stella occurs. and Stanley.
