ASIK | Minstrelende Zielsverhalen is a theatre performance that revives the age-old tradition of aşık, Anatolian troubadours. These troubadours shared stories about love, loss and life through music. MAKAS has brought together personal stories from young and old with various backgrounds and from various cities in the Netherlands into an intimate theatre performance.

In a time when polarization and hardening seem to be taking over, a conscious choice was made for vulnerability and connection. These unprecedented stories are brought to life by a spoken word artist, music and a live artist who visualizes the essence of the stories.
