Artist Talk Jip van den Toorn
Come to the Artist Talk by illustrator and cartoonist Jip van den Toorn (1993) on Saturday, November 7. With her sharp, humorous view on current social themes, she shows what it is like to live in a world that is becoming increasingly unpredictable. Her work will be on display in HAL 5 of the Kunsthal from November 7, 2026, to March 7, 2026.
Discover the world of Jip van den Toorn
In the exhibition ‘Jip van den Toorn. Nu je er toch bent’ you will discover approximately 200 drawings, sketchbooks and videos by Jip van den Toorn. You will gain insight into her creative process. You will also see the short NTR documentary ‘Jip van den Toorn – Boekhouder’ (2026), in which director Stephane Kaas follows her during her creative process. You can actively participate yourself by speaking out about a subject that concerns you, inspired by the work of Jip van den Toorn.
Artist Talk and signing session programme
The Artist Talk, followed by a Q&A session, starts at 17:30. Afterwards, there will be a signing session with Jip van den Toorn from 18:30 to 19:00. She will be signing her new book ‘2026: Hoe vond je zelf dat het ging?’, a year review with humorous cartoons, also available in the Kunsthal Shop.
