Apollo - Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest
RAAF music theatre and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra make a musical journey to the moon. In this children's show we follow a musical group of friends.
They dream of becoming a great band and practice hard in the garage. They are inspired by the sudden appearance of Raaf. This strange bird makes the friends make amazing music and encourages them to follow their musical hearts. From now on they will not go to school anymore. They are going to give a concert, in a place where no one has ever done it before. They are going to the moon! The orchestra takes the audience together with the group of friends into space, higher and higher. The journey is not without dangers and only by working well together can they succeed in reaching the surface of the moon.
Do you dare to travel to the unknown? Will you go with us to that place high up in the sky, that shines on us on earth in the evening?
Apollo is a musical theatre performance for children in the Doelen, Rotterdam. With a new composition by Corrie van Binsbergen and a story by Freek den Hartogh. It is about making music, exploring boundaries, working together and rising above yourself.
