Andromeda celebrates Ghanaian Highlife in BIRD
Andromeda brings together Dutch and international artists for an evening dedicated to Ghanaian music, culture, and community. This edition is entirely dedicated to Highlife, the genre that has shaped generations with its mix of African rhythms, soul, jazz, and funk. An evening of deep grooves, warm energy, and engaging conversations.
Panel discussion and live concert
The evening starts with an inspiring discussion about Ghanaian culture, art, music, and community. Ashlee Janelle (host), Junya, and Tasha Slagtand will join a surprise guest in conversation about identity and cultural exchange. This will be followed by a live concert by Higherlife, Kwame Yeboah, and Candy Dulfer, which will conclude with a large joint jam session.
