A Journey through the World of Tuba

The Open Hof Music Foundation welcomes two special musicians traveling all the way from Germany to Open Hof for the third Open Hof Concert of this season. Tubist Daniel Ridder and pianist Natalia Nazarenus-Bestvater present the program A Journey through the World of Tuba, in which they demonstrate just how versatile and surprising the tuba can sound. During A Journey through the World of Tuba, Daniel and Natalia take the audience on a musical journey through various countries, styles, and periods. The program features works by Paul Rennert, Edward Gregson, Gioachino Rossini, and Vittorio Monti, among others. The program shows that the tuba is much more than just an orchestral instrument. From lyrical melodies to virtuosic passages and surprising timbres, it promises to be a versatile and surprising concert. A wonderful opportunity to get to know the tuba in a completely different way. There will be a collection at the exit.
