Weekend van de Wetenschap in Rotterdam
On 3 & 4 October, you can discover how science works for free in Rotterdam: design a playground, hear biologist Sterrin Smalbrugge talk about reptiles, or race in VR at Erasmus MC. For young and old!
From brain to customs At Erasmus MC you can view brains in 3D, discover how an artificial heart beats and think along as a virus advisor during an outbreak simulation. At Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam you can test your knowledge at the Proefjesplein, become a programming champion by controlling a robot and try to convince the judge as a lawyer during a real Moot Court. You can also unravel the mysterious workings of AI there. Furthermore, at the Maritiem Museum you can see how an oyster cleans the sea, discover the hidden world of lichens at the Natuurhistorisch Museum and get to work as a customs officer yourself at the Belasting & Douane Museum. TU Delft Science Centre brings robots, drones and technology to Rotterdam. From hospital to courtroom: you can experience science yourself everywhere in the city. Check the website for all locations.
