We Sleep Among Demons is a musical performance about daring to look your greatest fears in the eye. In a ritualistic exorcism concert, club member Amir Vahidi killjoys his own discomfort in taking center stage.
As if in a fever dream, he battles the inner demons that shape his view of reality. The demonic voice of a mother telling him not to be angry? Expelled. The voice of the racist bouncer telling him he doesn’t belong in the club? Expelled. His white artist collective that doesn’t take his artistic voice seriously? Smoked out. But what do you do with your own voice when it crushes you at every opportunity and wants to break you off at the ankles?
