Van de Gekken! is a show that is both an ode to cabaret legend Adèle Bloemendaal and a further introduction to stage animal Elfie Tromp. Who, like Adèle Bloemendaal, mixes a seductive fierceness with a literary diction and language, alternates social criticism with a cackling laugh and combines a quick, sharp mind with a touch of show and nonsense.

Adèle's best songs and conferences are central to this new show by music theatre maker, writer and city poet Elfie Tromp. With Van de Gekken! Tromp shows how much Bloemendaal's work is still alive and well, serving both Bloemendaal's fans and introducing new theatre audiences to this headstrong feminist from the very beginning, who was the very first woman in the Netherlands to wear a one-woman show.
