Triple vision
Kalpanarts is a contemporary dance company with a colorful cast and following. Choreographer Kalpana Raghuraman brings Indian dance forms together with urban and contemporary dance with the company, resulting in a unique theater form.
Kalpanarts is coming to Theater Rotterdam with their new production Triple Vision. Kalpanarts presents three unique pieces in a triple bill: a remake of two duets ( Tara and Fluid ) and a brand new solo ( Whisper ). The duets premiered online during the corona period. Due to the overwhelming response, they are now finally going on tour.
The three pieces show what Kalpanarts stands for: bringing together different styles and disciplines, and placing Indian culture in a contemporary context. Each work explores themes of tradition and modernity, personal and social stories, and the dynamics between culture and identity.
