Thrax Punks

Never two without three: after two sold-out shows, Thrax Punks are coming back to GROUNDS for a third time! We love them and they love us, so get ready for a great bacchanal where Greek folk and punk will flow abundantly.

Starting from traditional music from Thrace, the band members began experimenting over the years with more modern styles from different musical genres, such as live looping, psychedelia, heavy guitars, math-rock and punk eruptions. By making more traditional instruments like the gaida (bagpipes) and davul (drums) resonate perfectly with a contemporary electric guitar, they reshape the musical heritage of their region. Their sound takes you back to older times, stories and emotions so timeless that past, present and future seem one.

Their first EP Punkopanhgyropsychedeleia (2016) and debut album Thrax Punks (2019) already gave immediate evidence of their talent, but with their second full-length album Thrax Punks II (2024), their big breakthrough finally arrived. After countless shows at the biggest music festivals in Greece and sold-out concerts in the UK and Germany, they are all set to fill GROUNDS to the brim for a third time.
