During the Day of Inland Navigation on Saturday, November 7, you will experience the multifaceted world of inland shipping. At Portlandis, you will take a special themed cruise.
During the 75-minute cruise through the most modern ports of Maasvlakte 2, an inland shipping expert immerses you in the world of inland shipping. What is it like to sail? Who else works on board such a ship? Where do you live? Which places do you visit? And what does a workday look like?
In between, a Portlandis guide tells you about the Port of Rotterdam and the developments at Maasvlakte 2. Along the way, the largest ships and most modern terminals pass you by. You will also see with your own eyes the inland waterway quays of, among others, APM Terminals Maasvlakte 2 and RWG, which are specially designed for the fast and efficient loading and unloading of inland vessels.
