Theaterworkshop | José Montoya | VER VAN HIER
José Montoya is Afro-Colombian and was adopted by white parents.
José Montoya is Afro-Colombian and was adopted by white parents. He grew up in various villages and eventually found his home in Amsterdam.
As an independent entrepreneur, José works in various roles within the theatre world. He acts in theatre productions, does role-playing for companies, and gives improvisation classes in youth prisons.
Especially for VER VAN HIER, José is giving a crash course in improvisation. Because, in reality, everyone improvises every day — so you can already do it. In this workshop, we will mainly be playing a lot, having fun, and exploring together.
As an adoptee, you can regularly be caught off guard by questions or comments that you don't always immediately know how you want or are able to respond to. And if you do decide to answer: what could you say? And in what different ways?
In this workshop, we are not looking for the one right answer for every situation. Instead, we are exploring the possibilities. Through improvisation, play, and sharing experiences, we will discover together different ways to deal with such moments.
