In The Drama, director Florian Myjer theatrically dissects our class society with humor and painful honesty. For the idea that the Netherlands supposedly has no classes? That narrative is long outdated. No matter how hard you work, where you were born largely determines how you fare in life.

Led by a passionate (and not entirely unbiased) lecturer, a class at a prestigious university embarks on a challenging course block regarding class, privilege, and social mobility. What begins as an idealistic project quickly derails into something far more personal and painful. For as soon as the students examine their own backgrounds and those of one another, shame, blind spots, and hidden anger come mercilessly to light.

The Drama is a disruptive tragicomedy, performed by actors of diverse backgrounds. Their own experiences with climbing the social ladder, conforming, and exclusion form the beating heart of the story. A personal and razor-sharp performance.
