About Tamarae

Tamarae is a singer, guitarist, and producer. She grew up in Enschede, studied jazz vocals and jazz guitar at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, and now lives in Paris. She writes and produces her songs largely herself. Her music is indie soul with jazz roots, alternative R&B, and a touch of electronica. You hear dreamy guitars, a raw, unpolished voice, and lyrics about letting go, doubt, and resilience.

EP tour and performances

At Dizzy, Tamarae opens the tour for her new EP with a full band. The lineup consists of vocals and guitar by Tamarae, drums by Marcos Milito, guitar by Emiliano Roca, and bass by Ignacio Santoro. The program includes the singles 'Resemblance', 'Tired of Feeling', and 'Rewind'. NPO Jazz to Go recently dedicated an entire episode to 'Rewind'. You will also hear the as-yet-unreleased 'Rest Your Eyes' live for the first time. Her work has previously been featured in Apple Music's New Music Daily, played on BBC Jazz World, and she has supported Alfa Mist. This promises to be an intimate evening for listeners.
