The STOOR exhibition invites the visitor to view the world through a neurodivergent lens; it offers a creative 'translation' of a selection of DSM-5 disorders.
Have you ever felt limited by a 'label'? Or wondered what really lies behind such a label? What does ADHD sound like? And how does a 'neurodivergence filter' change the way you experience the world?
With an immersive soundscape created during her residency at the Klangendum studio in Rotterdam, artist Gottenkieny makes internal processes audible and offers the visitor a sensory journey through a world of constant background noise, compulsive repetition, and manic episodes.
Alongside this auditory experience, Gottenkieny presents new work – drawings, collage paintings, and sculptures – with which she not only dissects the 'label' but elevates it to autonomous art. An invitation to view the world through a different lens.
Enjoy an inspiring afternoon with drinks, snacks, and a unique curation of local and historical artists and performers. In this selection, Gottenkieny explores the (un)conscious characteristics of the labels and disorders that embody their work.
