Puppet theatre, mime and tragicomedy come together in this impressive solo about a strong mother and a caring son who can never do well enough
A man is cleaning out his mother's overcrowded house. She could never throw anything away and hid money in the strangest places. When he lets her things and clothes pass through his hands, his mother automatically comes back to life. Because he has to, he helps her into her favorite cardigan one more time.
'Steeds lichter' is about the suffocating, sometimes laughable relationship between a man and his over one hundred year old mother. A woman who keeps her son in a stranglehold, if only by simply not wanting to die. About a strong mother and a caring son who can never do it well enough. About the ever-present veil of war and the Jewish identity that is self-evident, but that should not be emphasized.
