We call it loyalty.
But what if we are actually talking about survival?
RIDE OR DIE is an interdisciplinary dance performance by the first City Choreographer of Rotterdam and the Netherlands, Sheree Lenting. A creator whose work has already been awarded the BNG Bank Dansprijs.
In this performance, she dives beneath the surface of love and relationships. Because what we feel does not come from nowhere. It is shaped by history, by what generations before us have carried, by patterns that still influence how we love, trust, and protect ourselves. Three performers move between hip hop, African and Caribbean diaspora, and contemporary dance. Their bodies carry that history — but also search for a way out. For something new. Film, spoken word, and music pull you deeper inside, into a world where layers of time overlap and where love is not a romantic idea, but a choice that chafes.
RIDE OR DIE does not ask if you believe in love.
It asks: what are you willing to break through in order to truly choose it?

Rotterdam Coffee Fest returns from 5 to 8 November for its second edition. It will feature a more extensive programme, *De Doelen* as a new venue, and four days of coffee culture across Rotterdam.
