Preliminary rounds ICCR 2024

Experience a unique experience during the semi-finals of the International Conducting Competition Rotterdam (ICCR), where you get the chance to see no fewer than 24 conductors in action with one orchestra. Last December, no fewer than 175 international conductors registered for the second edition of the competition. After a careful video selection, 24 talents have been invited to conduct Sinfonia Rotterdam for the jury and audience.

The first round will take place on June 17 and 18, after which twelve conductors will proceed to the second round on June 19. Ultimately, the jury selects six finalists, who receive career support for a year before they shine in the finals. Have you always wanted to know what a conductor does? Then come to ICCR from June 17 to 19!

Also mark your calendar for June 1 – 13, 2025, because that is when the finals will take place. These consist of five rounds in which a different orchestra is conducted each time: the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, Klangforum Wien, Sinfonia Rotterdam and Laurens Symfonisch.
