Two women from bygone times play with masculinity in a dazzling mix of object theatre with baroque singing and electronic music.
In an attic full of toys, they investigate, out of sight of the man of the house, what it means to be a man. With humor and sharpness they question objects that make boys 'real men' - a toy gun, an action hero, a toolbox - and show how being a woman also has limitations.
Electronic music and baroque singing merge, while a man on electric guitar accompanies them. In this playful and confrontational performance, familiar images are turned upside down and you are made to think with a fresh perspective about how you yourself have been shaped into a man or a woman.
One Man Show uses humor, imagination and musicality to show how fluid and at the same time persistent ideas about masculinity can be.
