New Cool Collective

Expect an infectious mix of funk, jazz, salsa, dance and sultry, exotic sounds. The perfect way to end 2024 dancing! This big band has played countless times in leading clubs and festivals around the world. They also worked for years with Tony Allen, Mapacha Africa, Andrew Roachford, Jules Deelder, Typhoon, Guus Meeuwis, Matt Bianco, Thierno Koité and Georgie Fame, among others. In recent years the band has been working on a strong series of releases. The impressive catalog is supplemented with albums such as Electric Monkey Sessions 1 & 2 , a big band collaboration with Orchestra Baobab saxophonist Thierno Koité and the quirky electronic sounds on Dansé Dansé . At the beginning of 2021, the band moved from Amsterdam to Rotterdam and is working with producer Simon Akkermans in a studio on the Maas on their album YUNIKōN . This collaboration provides fresh impulses. In 2024, New Cool Collective will celebrate their 30th anniversary with sold-out shows across the country. This fall the band will release a new studio album, followed by a club tour across the country.
