Mimi's Shebeen is a poetic dance theatre production by KVS face and artist Alesandra Seutin. Through dance, text, song and music she takes the audience to the depths of a deconstructed Shebeen* and on a journey full of life, struggle, perseverance and determination.
Mimi's Shebeen is a multi-layered performance by choreographer and performer Alesandra Seutin, in which dance, words and music merge into an immersive experience. She opens the doors to a deconstructed Shebeen, an informal meeting place where stories come to life. In this space, a journey through memory, struggle and survival unfolds, carried by rhythm and movement. Seutin pays tribute to female power and cultural identity. Mimi's Shebeen is an invitation to listen, feel and witness resilience in its rawest and most poetic form.
