Memento ²⁰⁰⁰

Leonard Shelby cannot form any new memories. Since the violent attack in which his wife lost her life, his brain has wiped everything clean after a few minutes. Yet he does not give up: he wants to find her killer. His only hold are Polaroids, handwritten notes, and clues that he has had tattooed on his own body.

But who actually wrote those notes? Who is showing him the way, and who is taking advantage of his condition? Leonard cannot remember. Neither can you as a viewer.

With Memento, Christopher Nolan (Inception, Oppenheimer) made his international breakthrough. His psychological thriller does not present the events in neat chronological order, but rather they fall into place piece by piece. You learn the truth in the same broken order as Leonard, and must make the connections yourself while every assumption is pulled out from under you.

Because what if your memory is your greatest enemy?
