Meiden & Prinsen (8+) Het Filiaal theatermakers / Monique Corvers
In the main hall performance Meiden & Prinsen, stories from the book De Meisjes by author Annet Schaap (known for Lampje, Krekel) are brought together in a brand-new adaptation by Don Duyns. With music by Gábor Tarján, directed by Monique Corvers and in co-production with the Nederlandse Bachvereniging.
A surprising retelling about girls with their own dreams, unfulfilled desires, annoying little princes and mean practices. Life is no fairy tale, as the women in this performance discover. Whether they are matched with a money-grabbing king, a frog that cannot change its form or a spoiled little prince. Meiden & Prinsen shows what it is like to grow up in a world full of expectations, especially their own.
Music
Gábor Tarján creates the composition for the performance, which is performed by Dirge Seçil Kuran (percussion), Anan Alkadamani (violin) and six singers from the Nederlandse Bachvereniging (NBV).
